29thNovember – 16thDecember

“Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.” III, 2

The Tempest
Prospero, Duke of Milan, is cast away with his daughter Miranda to a remote island. Twelve years later his “potent Art” raises a tempest that shipwrecks his enemies on to the islandLooking for retribution he finds forgiveness.  Shakespeare´s farewell play is a painful and humorous journey of acceptance, compassion and love. Stephen Bull´s live music permeates this “insubstantial” island here recreated by Claire Lyth’s design and Keith Esher Davis ‘ lighting.
